Troubleshooting

  1. Only Thetis Pro Series FIDO2 Security Keys has NFC feature.
  2. Unfold the Key before tap it on your iPhone or Android Phone. NFC will not work unless the key is unfolded
  3. The NFC area in iPhone is on the top next to camera system. For Android phone, NFC area is around the center of the back of the phone typically.
  4. Some Android has no NFC feature, please double check with phone's manual.
  5. Tap and hold the key against the NFC area until your phone confirms the action is successful.
  6. No MacBooks or iMacs have built-in NFC. Most desktops and laptops do not include NFC by default.
  7. Please update your iOS or Android to latest version.
  1. Some online services require FIDO2 Security Key with PIN while some not. We recommend setting up PIN at first time use.
  2. Thetis FIDO2 Security Keys require PIN at least 6-digit long.
  3. If you enter the wrong PIN too many times, your security key will be blocked. You will need to reset the key, and all previously registered accounts will no longer be accessible with it.
  • Windows 10/11 Home: Unfortunately, security keys like the Thetis Pro cannot be used for direct Windows login without using a Microsoft service like Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) or Windows Hello for Business.
  • Windows 10/11 Pro or Enterprise: You can use a FIDO2 key for passwordless login if your system is integrated with Azure AD

The Austria eID system (ID Austria) requires FIDO2 Level 2 protocol, while our product supports FIDO2 Level 1.

Download our App from our websites. The file contains an executable program (.exe), and sometimes Windows Defender may misreport executable files from lesser-known developers as a potential threat, even when they are completely safe. Please rest assured that our software is safe and can also be downloaded directly from our official website for extra peace of mind.

After you download the File, please right click on the file and choose extract all or any unzip option. Then you will see the Thetis Key Manager App. Right click the app icon,  click “Run as administrator”

Our mac App support macOS 12 and later. If your mac is too old, you can use the latest Chrome Browser to manage the key. Please read the page.
