In general, you already know what kind of online services you want to protect by using the Thetis FIDO2 Security Key. You can also find here to check if the website support FIDO2 protocol.

Passkey is built on FIDO2 protocol that is a Passwordless solution. If a website support FIDO2 Security Key, it can be FIDO2 as 2nd Factor Authentication or Passkey. But the setup process is almost same.

The Passkey/FIDO2 as 2FA Setup process is very similar in different websites. We just use Google Account (Gmail) as an example.

Initial PIN Setup

      Visit thetis.io/pages/downloads/, download the Thetis Key Manager App for Windows or Mac.
      Extract the zip file (Windows) or install the App (Mac)
      Open the App, go to the FIDO tab, then click "Set PIN"
      Input at least 6-digit PIN then save.

Register Your Key (Add Passkey)

      Visit Google Account Security: Go to Google Account Security and sign in.
      Navigate to the "Passkeys" or "2-Step Verification" section: Scroll through the security settings to find the "Passkeys" section.
      Create a Passkey: Click on "Use Passkeys" and select "Create a Passkey".
      Choose Security Key: Select "Security Key" as your preferred method.
      Insert Thetis FIDO2 Key: Connect your Thetis FIDO2 Key to your USB port and complete authentication by entering your 6-digit PIN.

Add a Backup Key (Optional but highly recommend)

      Repeat Register Your Key Steps to add another Backup Security Key.
