Step 1: Enable Two-Factor Authentication

To start, log in to your Facebook account and navigate to the settings.

In the "Security and Login" tab, locate the "Two-Factor Authentication" section and enable it.

You can enable Two-Factor Authentication using SMS or an Authenticator App. Here's how:

  1. Using SMS:

Enter your phone number to receive a code from Facebook.

Input the received code to activate Two-Factor Authentication.

  2. Using an Authenticator App:

An Authenticator App provides a software token for two-step verification using TOTP and HOTP algorithms. Download an app from the iOS App Store or Google Play.

Scan the QR code on your screen with the app. It will generate a one-time passcode every 60 seconds. Enter this code to activate Two-Factor Authentication.

Step 2: Add Your Thetis Key

Next, set up your Thetis security key.

Plug in your Thetis Key and press the button. You can rename your key if desired. Click Save and Exit when done.

Your account can now use the key as the Two-Factor Authentication Token. Log out and log back in to test it. Do not remember your browser if you want to use the key each time you log in.
