Step-by-Step Guide for Setting Up Thetis Key as a Hardware-Based Authenticator
Step 1: Launch Thetis Manager
- Open Thetis Manager on your PC or Mac. Ensure the software is running.
- Insert your Thetis Key into your computer’s USB port. The device will be recognized by Thetis Manager.
Step 2: Set Up TOTP in Thetis Manager
- In Thetis Manager, go to the "OTP" tab.
- Click the "+" button to add a new TOTP entry.
- Leave this window open as you retrieve data from your account (for example, Google).
Step 3: Retrieve Data from Google Authenticator Example
- Go to your Google Account security settings.
- Select "Set up authenticator app".
- When you see the QR code, click "Can’t scan it?" to manually retrieve the key information.

- Whenever prompted for a TOTP code during login (e.g., Google, Dropbox), insert your Thetis Key into the USB port.
- Open **Thetis Manager**, go to the **OTP** tab, and retrieve the generated TOTP code.
- Use the TOTP code to complete your login process.
